Co-hosted by China Disabled Persons' Federation and China National Committee on Ageing, and co-organized by China Assistive Devices and Technology Centre for Persons with Disabilities, Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation and the Office of Beijing Municipal Working Committee on Aging, Care & Rehabilitation Expo China and China International Rehabilitation Expo 2016 had its opening ceremony at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing in the morning of October 17th, 2016.
Over 300 enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions attend the Expo as exhibitors, including world-famous manufacturers and operators of wheelchairs, hearing aids, visual aids, rehabilitation equipment and prosthesis, as well as relevant service institutions. The Expo has a total area of 16000 square meters for exhibiting up to ten thousand assistive devices and products. During the Expo, experts and professionals provide free assessment and fitting services for visitors at the venue.
Jia Yong, Deputy Executive Director of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, and relevant leaders visited the exhibition and had warm talks with representatives of the exhibitors to understand the new trends and new technologies in the development of assistive device markets both home and abroad. They also encouraged the exhibitors to seize the opportunities, be bold for innovation and serve the market better. It has been the 10th continuous session of the Expo since 2007. With its expanding scale and increasing influence, C&R Expo has grown into one of the three largest exhibitions for the industry in the world and serves as a comprehensive multifunctional platform for exchanges of information covering assistive technologies, assistive devices and products, rehabilitation training equipment, service policies and service systems.
